We are always delighted to hear from prospective members. If you’re looking to come and hear us in concert, we would be delighted to see you and we hope you’ll enjoy our programme of events and concerts as much as we do.

We always welcome new voices and are constantly looking to strengthen our membership. We have a varied programme for 2018 and 2019, including a community performance of Elgar's Spirit of England, to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War,  Britten's hauntingly beautiful Ceremony Of Carols with Harp accompaniment, Haydn's sparkling Missa Sanct Nicolai and our triennial collaboration with Stamford Endowed Schools, a performance of Bach's St John Passion with period instruments and specialist soloists in the wonderful venue of the De Montfort Hall, Leicester. We've also got plans for a recording to mark the 150 anniversary of the institution of the Choral Society. It's a great time to join us. Whether you are new to singing or have previous singing experience, a warm welcome and some involving and enjoyable music-making awaits!

This year our popular annual summer concert feature Leonard Bernstein's dramatic and sublime Chichester Psalms and John Rutter's tuneful and beautifully uplifting Requiem, both performed in their chamber versions which will include organ, harp, percussion, cello, oboe and flute. The programme will also feature beautiful instrumental music, including Morricone's 'Gabriel's Oboe' from the 1986 film The Mission. An exciting, moving and uplifting programme, not to be missed! Tickets will be available from the Arts Centre Box Office and choir members.

Rehearsals for the Summer Term start on 2nd April at Stamford Methodist Church, Barn Hill, Stamford. We will be preparing Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms" and Rutter's "Requiem" for our summer concert. New singers are always welcome in the opening weeks of each term, so please do come along, if you're interested in singing with us. Please get in touch with us ahead of the new term for this particular term as arrangements are different to our usual schedule.
